Pilates
Pilates is a unique form of simple, precise and effective exercise.
It focuses on breathing as you exercise with smooth, controlled
and flowing movements. In the matwork class, particular attention
is given to strengthening the abdominal and back muscles in order
to create a platform that will support and stabilise the student
during exercise.
The benefits of Pilates include:
- an improvement of postural imbalances
- increased muscular strength, flexibility and endurance
- relief from some back pain
The classes are open to everyone regardless of age or level of
fitness and you are encouraged to work at your own pace
We also offer Physiotherapist-led Pilates classes, ensuring continuity of physio care with your rehabilitation.
