To
make an appointment, please call 020 8857 6000, stating clearly which is your preferred clinic - Mottingham or Bromley. We can usually make
an appointment for you to see a chartered physiotherapist within
the next working day.
Please give the receptionist clear details of your injury. Appointments
for peripheral joint injuries, such as an elbow or ankle, are usually
for 30 minutes.
If you are suffering from a neck or back problem, you will need
a longer first appointment (approx 50 minutes) to allow the physiotherapist
enough time to assess your condition thoroughly before commencing
treatment.
If you call outside clinic times, please leave a message and contact
number on the answerphone and we will call you back on the next
working day.

Many of our patients self-refer, while others come to us via
their GP, consultant or insurance company.
If you are intending to claim the cost of treatment from your
private health insurance, you may need a letter of referral from
your GP. You will also need to check your policy details with
your insurance company, especially with regard to excess payments.
Please let the receptionist know which insurance company you will
be claiming from when you book your appointment.
Please note that we only accept private insurance payments for
Chartered Physiotherapy.
Your First Visit
At your first visit the receptionist will ask you to complete
a patient profile and sign a consent to treatment form.
Our practitioners will assess your injury, take a detailed history
of your condition, give you a diagnosis and discuss an appropriate
course of treatment. Although this may take up most of the first
session, we guarantee that you will also receive treatment. Our
aim is always to minimise your discomfort and start treating the
problem straightaway.
If you have any x-rays or scans that are relevant to your injury,
please bring them with you to your first appointment.
Likewise, if you are an athlete, golfer, tennis player etc, please
bring your running shoes, golf club, tennis racquet etc with you.
