| Certificate in First Aid for Sport |

| This
certificate is intended for people involved in a variety of roles
in sport, such as coaches, match officials, players and parents. The certificate in First Aid for Sport (FAS) is awarded by 1st4sport Qualifications and has been developed in partnership with The Football Association. It qualifies candidates to provide first aid care for a range of illnesses and injuries that are commonly sustained in a sports environment. Candidates must hold a current Emergency First Aid Certificate, or equivalent, offered by an approved body such as The Health and & Safety Executive, St John Ambulance, British Red Cross, The Football Association, Medic First Aid etc. A minimum of 21 guided learning hours is recommended; seven hours self directed study and 14 hours course.
