Calf
A common calf injury is a calf pull, caused by sudden movements, such as stopping or starting. Symptoms are pain, swelling and an inability to walk properly.
For an acute injury such as this, you should follow the RICE principle (Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation) and consult a physiotherapist straightaway. The sooner this injury is diagnosed, the better it can be managed to ensure a faster recovery and return to sport.
